Loop respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we, Connected Circle, Inc. ("we," "our," or "us"), collect, use, store, and protect your information. Loop is built on the belief that your relationships and moments should stay private.

Information We Collect

1. Basic Account Information

• Name, phone number, and profile picture when you create an account
• One-time passcodes (OTP) for secure authentication (immediately deleted after verification)

2. Content You Share

• Photos, videos, text, polls, and voice notes you add to your Loops
• Captions, comments, reactions, and emotional tags
• All content remains private within your chosen Loops

3. Usage & Device Information

• Which features you use and how often (to improve the app experience)
• Device and technical data (IP address, device type, operating system, crash reports)
• Cookies and local storage used only to keep you signed in and improve app performance

How We Use Your Information

Provide Loop: Operate, maintain, and deliver the Loop service to you

Improve Loop: Fix bugs, understand what helps people connect better, and enhance app performance

Communicate: Send essential service announcements and optional feature updates via in-app notifications and SMS (you can opt out of non-essential messaging)

Safety & Security: Detect and prevent misuse, spam, or harmful activity to protect our community

What We Don't Do

❌ We never sell your personal data to third parties or advertisers

❌ We don't use your content for advertising or share it outside your Loops

❌ We don't track you across other apps or websites for advertising purposes

❌ We don't disclose your content outside your Loops unless you explicitly share it or we're legally required to

Sharing Your Information

We may share limited information only in these specific cases:

Service Providers: Trusted third-party services (cloud hosting, push notifications, crash reporting) under strict confidentiality agreements. They can only use your data to provide services to us.

Legal Requirements: When required by court order, applicable law, or to protect rights, safety, and security.

Business Transfer: In case of merger, acquisition, or asset sale—we'll notify you before any transfer occurs.

We do not share, rent, or sell data to advertisers or data brokers.

Third-Party Services

We use carefully selected third-party services to operate Loop securely:

Firebase (by Google): Used for push notifications, crash reporting, and app performance monitoring. Firebase processes basic device and app information (such as crash logs or device tokens) solely to provide these technical services. Firebase does not sell or share this data for advertising purposes.

Twilio: Used for SMS delivery of one-time passcodes for secure authentication. Twilio processes your phone number only to deliver authentication messages and does not use this information for marketing or advertising purposes.

Cloud Storage: We use secure cloud infrastructure to store your content with encryption both in transit and at rest.

Data Storage & Security

• All content is encrypted in transit and at rest using industry-standard encryption
• We implement comprehensive security practices and strict access controls
• Regular security audits and monitoring protect against unauthorized access
• While no online service can guarantee 100% security, we continuously work to protect your data using best practices

Your Rights & Choices

Content Control: You own your content completely. You can access, edit, or delete it at any time.

Account Deletion: Delete your account anytime from settings. All Loops you created will be permanently removed.

Privacy Control: Only people you invite can see your Loop content. You control all invites and privacy settings.

Communication Preferences: Opt out of non-essential SMS messages or push notifications in settings.

Data Export: Request a copy of your data by contacting us.

Children's Privacy

Loop is not intended for children under 13 years of age (or the minimum age required by local law). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn we have collected information from a child, we will delete it immediately.

None. Loop does not track users across apps or websites for advertising.

• Contact Info: Phone number for account creation and authentication
• User Content: Photos, videos, voice notes you share in Loops

• Diagnostics: Crash reports and performance data (anonymized)

California Privacy Notice (CCPA/CPRA)

This section applies to California residents.

Categories of Personal Information We Collect:

• Identifiers: Name, phone number, IP address, account identifiers
• Customer Records: Profile photo and basic account details
• Internet/Network Activity: App usage patterns, device logs, crash reports
• Geolocation Data: Approximate location derived from IP address (we do not collect precise location unless you share it in a moment)
• Audio/Visual Content: Photos, videos, and voice notes you upload
• Sensitive Personal Information: One-time authentication codes (immediately deleted after verification)

How We Use This Information:

To provide and secure the Loop service, troubleshoot issues, improve features, communicate with you, and comply with legal obligations.

Your California Privacy Rights:

• Right to Know/Access: Request details about personal information we collect
• Right to Delete: Request deletion of your personal information
• Right to Correct: Request correction of inaccurate information
• Right to Non-Discrimination: We won't discriminate against you for exercising these rights
• Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Information: We only use sensitive information to provide Loop services

We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

To exercise your rights: Contact us at hello@ourloop.life with the subject "California Privacy Request." We may verify your identity and will respond within 45 days.

International Users

If you access Loop from outside the United States, your information will be processed and stored in the U.S. under this Privacy Policy and may be subject to U.S. privacy laws.

Data Retention

• We retain your account information and content while your account is active
• When you delete content, it's removed from active systems within 30 days
• Backup copies may persist temporarily before being permanently overwritten
• Deleted accounts and associated data are permanently removed within 90 days

Do Not Track

Some browsers offer "Do Not Track" signals. Because there's no universal industry standard for DNT, we don't respond to these signals. However, we don't engage in cross-site tracking or behavioral advertising regardless.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally to reflect service changes or legal requirements. For significant changes, we'll notify you via:

• In-app notification
• SMS to your registered phone number
• Notice on our website

Continued use after notification constitutes acceptance of changes.
